Heirloom tomatoes and cherry tomatoes fill the raised beds.  Climbing red-flowered beans  Orange cherry tomatoes make a wonderful addition to salads.

~ Putting the Gardens to Bed ~

Thanks to the Winnisquam School District Teachers

Preparing the new raised beds and cleaning the old beds was the order of the day

Starting the process of filling the four new raised beds  The teachers come prepared with tools and a lot of enthusiasm

The raised beds are filled with peat moss, vermiculite, and compost  Removing vegetation from the beds

Eating a bean seed is pretty tasty  A raised bed that has been trimmed of plants

Coiling the hoses for a winter rest  Thanks to the WRSD teachers for helping put the gardens to bed!
